The Alphabet Library: Q is for the Quiller series, by Adam Hall – Telegraph
In association with AbeBooks.co.uk, Tim Martin continues his series on the A to Z of forgotten books. This week, he recalls Adam Hall’s Quiller series, a collection of suspenseful Cold War spy novels
Apart from the unjust knock on Bond, this article is a fine introduction to my second-favorite spy series, Adam Hall’s Quiller novels. The Quiller books were a a major influence on my teen espionage adventure, The Boy Who Knew Too Much. I gave my chapters one-word titles, which I lifted directly from Adam Hall. Nobody, and I do mean nobody, kept a reader in suspense like Adam Hall, whose real name was Elleston Trevor.
